Right before Christmas

I didn't take any pictures of actual Christmas day so I'll have to steal some from my family later.

Leading up to Christmas was pretty busy for us. Starting with celebrating Landon's Birthday.

His birthday is December 10th so we celebrated through the whole weekend starting with his traditional family birthday dinner on Thursday night.

Here's the happy birthday boy wearing a nice hat at the hibachi place he picked out.

We've been to this place a few times but the fire was really big on this occasion I thought my freakin face was going to burn off.

The choo choo train

The traditional birthday drum and drummer. (they also had a gong that some other people got and we were kind of bummed to miss out on that)

Happy 25 written in rice! Yum!

He had to work on his actual birthday (bummer) but I had his favorite key lime pie and candles for him when he got home. Also, a tee-shirt he had been wanting for a while. He loves his pugs!

To finish up the birthday celebrations my dad bought him and the rest of us tickets to see Trans Siberian Orchestra which Landon has always wanted to see so it was a good ending to his birthday festivities!

We also had to work on getting our Christmas card together. I wanted to try a fun idea I had seen on pinterest with Christmas lights but it didnt quite turn out right.

So we scrapped that idea and went for something simple because we only had a little bit of time to get everything done.

Here's some of the pictures from our DIY photo shoot.

Cute Christmas pups!

Little retro flare

One that didnt make the cut. Sorry Jet but you'll make it in the card next year. Cat's are a little trickier to work with than dogs. haha

More Christmas festivities!

Michelle and I put together a small Christmas party for our senior girls. Complete with tacky sweaters, ( I couldn't find a tacky sweater so I threw together a feliz navidad tribute I found in my closet. So random) photo booth, white elephant gifts and kareoke!!

Here's the layout. Trust me it looked cuter in person but the church lighting doesn't do anything for pictures.

Cookies, cupcakes, candy, hot chocolate buffet, and a few dips.

The party started out a little painful because the girls were a little afraid of getting up there and doing Karaoke but finally Hanna and Melissa got the party started and after that it was like pulling teeth to get Hanna to put the mic down.

But as you can see once they got into it they really let themselves go! So much fun!

Here's some shots from the photobooth

The cute little Christmas hippo!

Haley sporting Landon's hat

The party ended with Hanna and Melissa showing us their dance for the flashmob they were going to be in in a few days.

Twilight

I accomplished one of my random goals which was to go to a midnight movie premiere. Michelle had gotten some of the girls tickets to the new Twilight movie Breaking Dawn and asked if I wanted to go so of course I did!

Let me just say I'm not the fanatic kind of twilight fan and have never read any of the books but I enjoy the movies. Plus I always have a great time whenever Michelle and I have one of our adventures with the girls. (New Orleans, Christmas Party and now midnight movie dates)

So here's a few pics not a lot you can do while your sitting in a movie theater for a while but we played some random games and made up a few of our own funny at the time things to do.

Michelle and I

The girls being weird. I guess sitting in the theater for 4 hours is finally getting to them.

The whole group

Our second tub of popcorn because we wanted to get our money's worth. It's so crazy how much movie food is!

Hanna and I 5 minutes before the movie started!! We made it!

I thought the movie was pretty good and now I can cross that off my list.

Meeting Kade!

Girls Weekend to meet Kade!

The three of us headed from DFW to Austin to spend the weekend with the Kriegels!

Momma Jenni and baby Kade

Obviously Kade was really excited to meet his aunties!

Of course when we first got there we had to get the first pics holding Kade so here they are...

Love this pic of Tonk and the lights at the restaurant we ate at for dinner.

We decided to be very Martha Stewart and make fall wreaths. They came out really awesome!

So cute in his little man clothes!

Final group shot of the weekend! My new favorite pic of all of us! It's a framer!!

..............................................................................
Shout out!
I gave Jenni this little bear suit for a shower gift and it actually fit him for Halloween!
Yea what a precious little bear he is!!

October Wrap up

So my computer broke and I haven't been able to update in a while. So until I hopefully get a new one for Christmas I'm just using Landon's desktop.

So here's what happened during the rest of October.

After my birthday wrapped up holiday season was right around the corner and I really wanted to do all things fall to enjoy it.

I found a groupon for a pumpkin patch near where I work and took the girls to explore it. Besides the day being a little hot it was pretty fun!

They had a couple carnival type rides that Morgan went on

They also had a pony ride. Charlie and I watched while Morgan went for a little ride

They also had some bounce houses. How cute is this! Sisters love sisters!

While Morgan went on a few rides Charlie tried to pick up every pumpkin she could get to.

They are too cute and Morgan really wanted a pic in all the pumpkins!

Morgan picked out a pumpkin for each of them that we were going to paint.

BEFORE...

AFTER

Charlie really liked her little polka dot one!

There's a super cute pumpkin patch and corn maze by our house so we decided to head over there after dinner one night and get a few pumpkins to decorate.

Date night at the pumpkin patch and decorating pumpkins

Final choices..pretty good I would have to say

Landon's pretty proud of our picks!

Here's the final set up for our fall decorations. All handmade. The pumpkins didn't come out exactly as I wanted them to but next year we'll know how to make them better!

For Halloween I helped out at our fall festival. Here's a few of the girls.

Annalee as the cute piglet and Hanna as salt shaker, aka homeless person!

The senior girls had our own booth doing nails. I thought it might be kind of hard because I stink at painting nails but all the little girls that came over were just so excited about getting there nails done they didn't care that it wasn't that great.

Here's the other half of the homeless duo..the salt and pepper shaker.

Best costume definately went to Reed for the Mad Hatter! It was just something she threw together.

So Happy Halloween from Pug the Banana

Now so ready for Thanksgiving and CHRISTMAS!!
