Spontaneous.

Landon and I had a WONDERFUL and out of the ordinary weekend. Late Friday afternoon I decided to look around at the different hotels and stuff to do in Grapevine to see if we could just do something random and fun this weekend! Luckily I came across a gem of a deal because it's not any good if it's not a good deal! Sadly, and all to common Landon's work schedule changed which you could say bummed me out more than a little..

Luckily things turned around Saturday afternoon and we were back on for our spontaneous weekend getaway.

Destination The Gaylord Texan!
Neither of us had stayed there just been there a few times for different events so we were both excited!

We started the night off with dinner

We ate at the Riverwalk Cantina and it really did feel like we were right there at the riverwalk in San Antonio.

If you know me you know I love when restaurants or coffee shops have lights hanging up!

Sour Cream Chicken Enchiladas...so good!

After dinner we explored the Gaylord a little.

Tiny town and train

Outdoor fireplaces! Love it!
Makes me wish it was colder outside!

The only bummer thing about going somewhere just the two of us is no one's there to help take pics. So here's our automatic timer montage.

We headed to church the next morning but weren't quite done with our mini vacation

When we got out of church we had to head back to the hotel to change into our swimsuits and check out.

yes it is a man on stilts! love it!

after we checked out we went to their new water park, Paradise Springs.

The sun was a little too real for Landon.

Much better
We spent the afternoon floating the lazy river, riding on the slide they had and just relaxing in the sun. It was a great getaway without actually having to getaway

Bye Gaylord!
