Chinasaurus

The Past few weeks have been really busy but now that I'm on my 3 weeks vacation from work I have a little bit of time to update the blog.

A couple weeks ago we headed to a friends wedding in Waco. It was a friend from camp so we both knew the groom.

Landon was in the wedding so we drove in Friday night for the rehearsal.
We were the only non-baylor people there so we were kind of the odd man out.
Oh well Landon and I made it work and had fun on our own.

The day of the wedding I had some free time while Landon was with all the groomsmen so I got to have a lovely breakfast with Hannah!

Even though Landon was not the one getting married he was still really nervous to be in it.

First DanceInstead of bubbles or sparklers the Gilberts had these little guys to throw.
Their both teachers so it seemed like a teacher thing.

Had to get at least one couple pic since it's not everyday Landon wears a suit.

Now fast forward to this week.
Yesterday Landon and I took Victor and Willis to the Science and Nature Museum in Fair Park to see CHINASAURUS!!

The boys were pretty excited to see the dinosaurs and go to the Imax theater

Digging for dinosaur bonesMaking bubblesWillis heard they had a cow that you could milk and he was so excited to find it!So 5 years ago Victor celebrated his 5th birthday at this same museum.
Heather and I took a picture in the same spot so I thought I would put some pics from the birthday party to show how much Victor and Willis have grown up.

Victor is the picture on top. He looks so scared of us. It makes me laugh.
Willis is on the bottom and he was just a baby! How precious is that face!

We finished the day by going to lunch at Cafe Brazil because the boys had never been there and it's one of Landon and I's favorite places!

Victor was really tired but Willis was rearing to go and crazy as ever. He was def. cracking us up! It's so funny how much they both just love Landon! The whole day they had to sit by him, walk with him and talk to him all day! It was so funny to watch because they just think he's the best.

We had an awesome day and it makes me wish we could hang out with them even more than we do. We look forward to Victor starting real tackle football this year and getting to go watch his games!

Pizza Party

This is a couple weeks late but I still wanted to blog about it because it was the first event I planned for a big group of the Carrollton girls since Landon and I moved back!

My Dad was out of town for the weekend and Landon was out for the night at Jeremy's bachelor Party so I took advantage of having the house to myself and invited any of the high school girls who could come over for an old fashioned pizza party!

In my opinion all girl parties are no fun unless a little dressing up is involved so I had to think of how I could make that happen.

So here's what I came up with....

What Pizza Party is complete without Mustaches and Aprons!
The girl's really got into the mustaches some more offensive than others..haha

We had about every ingredient you could need to make your own pizza.

We had a couple of pro's among us
Haley and Dana showing off their skills

I set up a "photo booth" in the kitchen aka a fun sheet hanging on the wall for us to take pics in front of to show off our creations.

Here's everyone's finished project

Somehow in all the pizza madness Megan ended up in the cone of shame!

Group shot of the girls that got to come plus Dana who "doesnt do pics" haha and Tonka the photographer and Su Chef .

We had such an awesome time! After we finished eating we played our favorite picture game. I don't know the title but no matter where we are we always end up playing it and it's hilarious!

Pizza party was pretty much a success and next on the list is Cupcake Party! Complete with aprons and bright lipstick! 50's style!

I absolutely love these girls and can't wait till we have our own house and they have an open invitation anytime!

*A special shout out to congratulate Miss Ericka Allen on her recent Engagement! Ericka was my first senior class at Carrollton and her and the other girls in that group hold a very very special place in my heart!

Yea now it's you're turn to be the bride! So excited for you!

Women's Weekend Part 2

For the second half of our day we headed back to the flat to chill and then cook dinner. We decided we wanted to make it a dinner party and needed to get all fancy for our meal so we decided to do MAKEOVERS!!
Our inspiration for the makeovers, well Gwen and some bright red lipstick!

I'd say Karissa got pretty close to Gwen.

Mindy's turn

Nice little rock star ponytail and bump

Megann's whimsy look almost done

Karissa let Mindy and I do her hair. I had no idea what I was doing.

Karissa's hair came out awesome!

The trendsetters that started it all!

Hair stylist tag team..
were legit because we have matching shirts.

Finished product montage

Master chief ready to get cookin

This is what women look like when there working in the kitchen

We made a delicious homemade meal of fajitas, couscous, vegetables and guacamole for dinner.
It was the best meal we had all weekend!

Group Shots

After dinner we sat out on the patio and had some more woman talk
and sipped on some coffee.

Megann and Kate left early Sunday Morning so Karissa, Mindy and I decided to venture out to Glen Rose to see what it had to offer.

All the shops were closed but we did find Hollywood so that made it totally worth it!

We headed back to the flat to pack up and head back home.
One last pic of our favorite little vintage flat!

As always our summer reunion was wonderful and so many funny funny stories!
So ready for out of state girl's weekend in 2013
And Europe in 2018!!
